Book review

The novel Designated Hitter gives a fictitious account of hits carried out by contract killers on federal informants. These snitches were responsible for sending large numbers of innocent and not so innocent people in the drug world to various federal prisons throughout the U.S. Venture into a dark world of Cerdick Richberg, who is not only a very wise man, but also one who accepts some of the most difficult assignments in the underworld. He is the lead hit-man for the Designated Hitters with a very twisted thought process that is like a pure gift from the Devil himself. His crew- The Designated Hitters is made up of three additional assassinators, Mayhem, Hot Rod, and Dame. Together, the four are not only childhood friends, but also like family. They are a group of street savvy brothas with a thoroughbred s heart. These men have little to no regard for life, and when it comes down to a conscience, having one does not and cannot exist in their world. They are not professionally trained killers, but carry out their missions as such. They are some of the most sought after professionals in the game and as the story unfolds you will see exactly why.
